Our customer really loved plantation shutters but had been told by 2 other companies that she couldn’t have them because she had too many old timbers and bits of iron work suspended from her ceiling. Also our customer wanted to be able to fold the panels out of the way. We got our spirit level and tape measure out and mapped the window area to see if we could do it. Initially it didn’t look good but after further inspection we could see a way that it could be done.
By options for a tier on tier configuration we were able to miss the timbers and iron work and still be able to fully fold back the panels.
Our customer was so happy she had 3 more shutters from us!
Having had a beautiful sun room built with a great view into their lovely garden it became clear fairly quickly that the glare of the sun and the heat that it generated were going to be problematic. This, when combined with the heat loss they were likely to experience in the winter, meant they had to chose their shading product carefully. As well as dealing with the weather issues our customers (quite rightly) wanted a product that they could fully retract too so they could see the garden properly.
The solution: Plantation Shutters
We looked at a variety of options and several products would solve some of the challenges, but the one that was a clear winner, and solved them all was plantation shutters. With excellent insulating properties from both heat and the cold along with sound proofing, security and longevity plantation shutters ticked every box. The lower panels bi fold and fold back against the side wall leave the window completely clear.
We think they look absolutely fantastic!
